Honor 20 data backup - how the app works

The Honor 20 already has a pre-installed app that helps you create a backup of the files on the device. If you do not want to save the backup on the Honor 20 itself, you will need an additional storage device or a computer.

This is how you back up the data of the Honor 20 directly on the device

There are several methods you can choose from to back up the data of the Honor 20. In addition to saving the device files directly to the internal memory, you can also use a USB hard drive, SD card or your computer to back up your data. If you are using an SD card or a USB storage device, first make sure that they are properly connected to your Honor 20 before backing up.

1. Then open the backup app that is already preinstalled on the device and tap "Backup" in it.
2. Next, select the storage location for the backup by either tapping "Internal storage" or selecting one of the options "SD card" or "USB storage" under "Other method".
3. After clicking "Next", you must now select the files to be backed up and complete the backup with "Backup".

Honor 20: How to back up data on the PC or laptop

If you prefer to use a computer to back up data, this is possible with the help of the Huawei app. To do so, please download the free Huawei app to your laptop or PC and connect your Honor 20 to the computer via USB cable. The app opens automatically after connecting the device and you only need to select the files you want to backup to the computer.
