Creating a new folder - how it works

If you need a new folder to sort your files or apps, you can create it in a few steps. Depending on whether you want to create the new folder on a computer or the mobile device, you have several methods to choose from for this.

How to create a new folder on Windows

To create a new folder on your PC or laptop, you have several options. If you use a device with Windows, you can create new folders at any time via Windows Explorer.

1. To do this, first open it by pressing "Windows key" + "E" and navigate to the location where you want to create the new folder. Then click on the top left on the "folder icon", specify a name for the folder and confirm the creation with the "Enter key".
