Google: User figures of the Internet giant at a glance

The whole world knows Google and a large part of all online movements are at least indirectly related to the Silicon Valley giant. That's why we take a look at the official user numbers.

Limits not yet foreseeable: Google's user numbers continue to grow and grow.

Google loves big data, but is less forthcoming with its own disclosures. In 2018, the company nevertheless announced some interesting figures.

The following figures illustrate Google's position quite clearly:

• Nearly 3.5 billion search queries are conducted via Google every day. In Germany, Google has a market share of more than 90 percent among search engines.
• If one considers that 51 percent of all organic Internet traffic comes from search engines, Google's importance for the World Wide Web becomes all the more clear.
• Android rules the world: Google Assistant is available on around 500 million devices. In addition, he perfectly masters over 30 languages and is included in the cars of 40 manufacturers.
• Also in navigation, Google has long been the leader. Maps is actively used by over one billion people.
• The photo service Google Photos records 500 million active users; five billion photos are viewed there every day.

The omnipresence of Google is thus impressively reflected. And since many emerging markets and third world countries are yet to get widespread Internet, the potential is far from exhausted.
