First impressions count - this is especially true in social media. TikTok has quickly become one of the most popular social media apps. Profile pictures, in particular, ensure that a profile is accessed more frequently. Here's how to upload and delete profile pictures on TikTok.

How to add profile pictures on TikTok

On TikTok, you can choose between classic photos and short video sequences as profile pictures.

1. Open the app and go to your profile.
2. Now tap on "Edit Profile" and choose either "Change Photo" or "Change Video".
3. Now you can take a new photo by clicking on "Take Photo" or add one from the gallery via "Upload Photo".

Should you have specified a profile video, however, the uploaded profile photos are not visible on your profile. The photos should also be at least 20 x 20 pixels, otherwise they will not be uploaded.

How to delete TikTok profile pictures again

As easy as adding profile pictures on TikTok is also deleting them.

1. After starting the TikTok app, click on your profile.
