Android 9: Move apps to SD card

Smartphones usually have a large internal memory where you can store your contacts, photos, videos and chat messages. However, apps also require a considerable amount of this memory, so it may be necessary to expand it with an SD card. Then you can also move apps to the card.

This is how you move Android 9 apps to the SD card

Nowadays, not only videos, contact data or pictures are stored on the Android smartphone. The downloaded apps also need space to store the application and various information. If you do not want to delete the apps and still free up internal memory, you have the option of using external storage. For this purpose, it is a good idea to use an SD card to which you can move the apps. Note that the name of the individual menus and options may differ for different manufacturers.
  1. Start your smartphone and open the settings of the device.
  2. Now select the entry "Apps from" in the menu.
  3. Here you will see a list of all apps that you have installed on your smartphone.
  7. Tippen Sie auf „Ändern“ und anschließend auf Ihre SD-Karte.
  8. Die App wird nun verschoben.
