Zoom: Use image instead of video

Even in Corona times, Zoom is often the only option to stay in touch via video conferencing. However, some participants prefer to participate with just an image, rather than a running camera. On Zoom, you basically have two options for using an image instead of video.

How to add an image on Zoom in advance and use it instead of video

By uploading an image before the Zoom meeting, you can easily use it instead of a video:

1. Start Zoom, click on your profile and select "Change my image" in the selection.
2. Click on "Change" under the image to upload a new photo. The maximum size of the image should be 2 MB.
3. After uploading the profile picture, click "Disable my video" in the settings.
4. Now when you attend a meeting, your profile picture will be displayed instead of the video.

Falls Sie sich schon in einem Meeting auf Zoom befinden, gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor, um ein Bild einzustellen:

1. Öffnen Sie die die Meeting-Oberfläche und drücken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf Ihren Video-Bildschirm.
2. In der Auswahl wählen Sie „Profilbild bearbeiten“ und nach der Fertigstellung „Video stoppen“.
3. Anstatt des Kamera-Videos sehen andere Teilnehmer jetzt das von Ihnen selektierte Profilbild.
