iPhone X: Delete app completely - this is how it works

If you run out of memory or no longer use certain apps, you can delete them from your iPhone X with little effort. If you want to reinstall the deleted apps at a later time, this works via the App Store.

How to uninstall apps on your iPhone X

If you want to remove apps from your iPhone X, it's easy. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Lightly place your fingers on the icon of the app you want to delete. Keep your finger on the icon until it starts to wiggle.
2. Now tap on the cross icon on the top right of the app icon.
3. A dialog box will now open where you tap on "Delete".
4. To complete the deletion process, still tap on "Done".

Note that by deleting the app, you do not cancel any in-app subscriptions. You will still need to cancel these separately.

Reinstall purchased apps

Having deleted an app purchased from the App Store, you can always reinstall it on your iPhone without paying again. To do this, simply open the App Store application and tap on your profile picture in the top right corner. Then select the "Purchases" item in the overview.
