When you start your journey as a trainer in Pokémon Sun and Moon, you can choose one of three starter Pokémon after the intro. Here you have the choice between the Pokémon Bauz, Flamiau and Robball. Regardless of which Pokémon you choose, it is at level 5 at the beginning.The strengths and weaknesses of the starter Pokémon in Sun and Moon
Before you decide on a starter Pokémon, it is worth a look at the different properties of the three Pokémon.- Bauz is a Pokémon of the type plant and flight. It has 68 KP and comes to a base value of 55 in attack and defense. By leveling up, Bauz can learn new attacks such as fury strike or dive. However, Bauz is particularly vulnerable to Pokémon of type Ice.
- The second starter Pokémon, Flamiau, is of type Fire and has the abilities Great Fire and Threatener. Flamiau has only 45 KP, but comes to an attack value of 65. Flamiau can learn the powerful attacks Flame Lightning and Fury Attack, but is vulnerable to the Pokémon types Water, Soil and Rock.
- The third starter Pokémon Robbal available for selection belongs to the group of Water Pokémon. With 50 KP and an attack and defense value of 54 each, Robbal has the lowest base values. However, Robbal is also less vulnerable to certain Pokémon types.
