Nowadays, location information is often in the form of addresses. However, coordinates are often still necessary and here longitude and latitude play a major role.

Google Maps: How to find out longitude and latitude

Longitude and latitude are part of the coordinates that you can easily find out:

1. Click with the right mouse button on the desired location on the map.
2. Select "What is here?"
3. Click below on the mini-map with the coordinates.

On the left side now appears a sidebar with input field and more info. There, the info, which is displayed by default in decimal degrees, is additionally displayed in the format with degrees, arc minutes and arc seconds. There it is all the easier to read out longitude and latitude directly. The following applies: The latitude is always in first place, recognizable by "N" (for north) or "S" for south. It follows the longitude with "E" for east or "W" for west.
