eBay: Take back price suggestion - this is how it works

On eBay, you have the additional option to send a price suggestion to the eBay seller for many fixed price offers and auctions. If you made a mistake when entering it, we show you in this article two methods of how to take back the price proposal.

eBay: In these cases, withdrawing a price proposal is possible

Sellers can choose to list their products on eBay as an auction or at a fixed price. Depending on whether the seller has activated the option for his offered items, you also have the option to send a price proposal for a product.
  1. Once submitted, a price proposal is binding and the purchase of the product comes about as soon as the seller has accepted the price proposal.
  2. Under certain circumstances, however, it is still possible to withdraw a price proposal. This is the case if you have accidentally typed in an incorrect price or the seller subsequently changes the item description.
  3. To withdraw the price proposal, you need the item number of the product and must fill out the appropriate form on the eBay website.

Another option to withdraw a price proposal on eBay

Alternatively to the procedure described above, you can also withdraw a price proposal directly in your eBay account. To do this, log in to your account and navigate to "My eBay" > "Overview/Price suggestion". Then click on the box to the right of the submitted price suggestion and enter a reason. Once you confirm the process, the price suggestion will be withdrawn and you will receive a confirmation email.
