This is what you can do if your iMessage is not delivered

If you can no longer send iMessage through your Apple device, it is necessary to look for the solution of the problem step by step. First of all, check if you can also send the message as SMS to rule out the possibility that this is a general problem with the app. If this is the case, check if there is an update available and install it. If that is not the cause, there may be other issues behind it. After each step, tap the red exclamation mark by the message to try sending it again.
