Android 7: Night mode - how to enable it

When the Android 7 operating system was released, it was not possible to set a night mode. This was partially changed in the later versions of the software. If you are still using Android 7, then it is therefore necessary to resort to a detour. For this, you need to use the "System UI Tuner".

How to enable night mode on Android 7

Night mode usually appears in darker shades. The display light is also more reddish, as the blue tones are reduced. This is gentler on the eyes, which is why more and more people prefer this mode. The mode was not integrated in Android 7, but that was changed in later versions of the operating system. If you use Android 7, then you should update your operating system to a higher version. Alternatively, you need a detour via the "System UI Tuner".
  1. Start your smartphone and go to the home screen. Then drag the status bar down twice in a row.
  2. In the next step, press and hold the gear icon you see at the top for a few seconds. It will now start to rotate.
  3. You should now see the message "System UI Tuner has been added to Settings" on the display.
  4. Now you need to swipe the status bar down twice again. Tap on "Edit".
  5. Here you will see an icon with the label "Night Mode".
  6. Das Icon können Sie bei Bedarf in die Schnellleiste ziehen, um den Nachtmodus an- und auszuschalten.
