With in-house productions, the leading streaming providers Amazon and Netflix want to differentiate themselves more from each other. Read which Amazon Originals exist so far and are particularly successful.

Amazon Originals are exclusive in-house productions from Amazon.

There's no question about it: Netflix has come out impressively. The in-house productions include global hits such as "House of Cards" and "Narcos. The Marvel spin-offs "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil" were also produced by Netflix. So it's no surprise that Amazon wants to score in the same way.

These Amazon Originals are particularly worthwhile

Amazon has been producing high-quality in-house productions under the name Amazon Originals since 2013. Currently, the most popular titles include:

• "Betas" "All or Nothing"
• "Bosch"
• "Hand of God" "The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel"
• "Mozart in the Jungle" "Goliath"
• "The Man in the High Castle" "Hanna"
• "Transparent" "Utopia"

It is noticeable that the genres are strongly mixed. For example, Woody Allen fans will find "Crisis in Six Scenes," a short but entertaining mini-series penned by the legendary director. Amazon also hired the cast of the cult car show "Top Gear" and gave the three Englishmen a new stage with "The Grand Tour." The series "Sneaky Pete," on the other hand, emerged from Amazon Pilot Season. And: With "You Are Wanted," the new thriller series with Matthias Schweighöfer, Amazon offers its German customers in particular a lavish new release.
