VLC Player: Rotate Video - How to do it
In VLC Player you can not only play videos, but you can also rotate them, for example. How you want to rotate it is up to you. Navigate to the filters of the VLC Player to be able to rotate your video.
Easily rotate the video in VLC Player
With VLC Player you can rotate a video in a few steps. Would you like to save it afterwards are further steps necessary.- Start the video, in the VLC Player. You can pause the video to edit this.
- Now select "Tools" at the top of the menu.
- Then click on "Effects and Filters".
- Then switch to the tab "Video Effects" and below it to the tab "Geometry".
- Set a check mark at "Transform".
- Select in the drop-down menu whether you want to mirror the video by 90° or by 180°. Flip it 180°, turn it upside down.
- Close the menu, you can watch the rotated video.
Rotate and save video
- Go to "Tools" à "Settings" and check "All" under "Show Settings".
- Click the arrow next to "Filter" on the left under "Video". Select "Transform" and set the "Rotate Angle of Your Video" under "Transcode Type".
- Return to the menu and click "Stream Output" and select "Sout Stream".
- Enable the "Video Transform Filter" option under "Transcode" and click "Save".
- In the main player window, click "Media" at the top. Finally, select "Convert/Save" from the drop-down menu.
- Follow the instructions to save the video rotated.
