The Google Chromecast is a stick that allows you to stream content from your smartphone to your TV. However, for this to work, you not only need the free Google Home app on your mobile device, but also need to connect to the WLAN network.
  1. If you are using the Google Chromecast for the first time, please first open the previously installed Chromecast app and tap on the name of your WLAN network there.
  2. If this is not displayed to you, tap on "Other WLAN" instead and enter the access data of the WLAN of your router manually.
  3. In the app, then go to "Add" > "Set up device" > "Set up new devices" and link your Google account.
  4. Select your Chromecast from the list of available devices, tap "Next" and confirm the displayed code to complete the connection.

Change the WLAN connection with the Chromecast

If you want to change the WLAN network afterwards, because you have a new router, for example, this is possible at any time. To do this, open the Google Home app on your mobile device, tap on the "TV icon" and open the context menu next to the name of your Chromecast by tapping on the three dots. In the context menu, navigate to "Settings"> "Device Information" and tap on the "WLAN" option to search for a new WLAN network.
