D-Link Router IP - how to get the IP of the device

Like every router, the D-Link router also has its own IP address. If you don't know your router's IP but need it to access the device's user interface, there are several ways to find out.

How to find out the IP address of your D-Link router

If you have a D-Link router, it usually has a default IP address. This is 192.168.0.1 and is needed to access the router's user interface.
  1. If you get an error message when you enter the IP address, a look at the D-Link router will help. On the bottom of the device is a sticker with various information, on which the IP address should also be noted.
  2. If you have already changed the IP address at an earlier time and no longer remember the set IP, your only option is to reset it. To do this, press the reset button on the router for about 10 seconds.

How to determine the IP of the D-Link router via Windows PC

If your D-Link router is currently connected to the Internet via WLAN or LAN connection, you can also determine the IP of the device via the PC. If you are using a computer with Windows as operating system, open the Run dialog and execute the command "cmd". This will open the command prompt, where you should type "ipconfig" and confirm with "Enter". Then look for the entries" Ethernet adapter LAN connection" and "Wireless adapter" respectively and read the IP of the D-Link router.
