iPhone X: Restore older backup

In the backup, all the important data that is on your iPhone X is stored. Deposited are the backups in the iCloud or on the PC. Often, backups are created from different points in time in the iCloud.

How to restore your iPhone X from an old backup

If you want to restore your iPhone X with an older backup, you first need to check if such backup exists at all. Unless set otherwise, backups are automatically stored in your iCloud. In the storage management of the cloud storage, you can view all backups stored there.If you have found an older backup that you want to use for recovery, follow these steps:
  1. Return to the "Settings" app.
  2. Tap on "General" and navigate to the item "Reset".
  3. Select "Erase all content & data" there.
  4. In the subsequent screen, select the option "Restore from iCloud backup" and log in with your Apple ID.
  5. Now you just have to select the appropriate backup to be used for recovery.

Restore via iTunes

You also have the option to load backups via iTunes. To do this, simply connect your iPhone X to the computer via USB cable and launch the software. In iTunes, select the iPhone and click "Backups". There you will find the option "Restore backups...". Select it, you need to choose one of the backups and the restore process will start.
