Sharing Google Photos - how it works

With Google Photos you can not only back up and organize your photos, but also share them with other people. We'll explain step by step how to do this properly on a mobile device and computer.

Google Photos: How to share your photos on Android

If you have the Google Photos app installed on your Android smartphone or tablet, you can use it to store and organize your photos online and access them from different devices. In addition, Google Photos gives you the ability to share your pictures with friends, family, or other users.
  1. To use the sharing feature of Google Photos, first open the app on your mobile device and sign in to your Google account.
  2. Then select a photo, video, or entire album and tap the "Share" icon.
  3. Now enter the name, phone number or email address of the person with whom you want to share the selected content and add a message if desired before tapping "Send."

How to share in Google Photos on your computer

If you use Google Photos on your computer, the procedure for sharing photos is slightly different. In your browser, please go to the "photos.google.com" website and sign in to your account. Again, search for the photos or videos you want to share and mark them by clicking the "checkmark icon". Then click the "share icon", select the people you want to have access to your content, and click the "send icon".
