WoW Shadowlands: First info on the upcoming expansion

For World of Warcraft there seems to be no end in sight. In the meantime, the release of the next expansion, Shadowlands, has already been announced. Our guide summarizes which features and innovations the expansion offers and when it will be available in stores.

It just doesn't stop: With Shadowlands, the next expansion for WoW has been announced.

Shadowlands is already the eighth expansion of World of Warcraft. The life cycle of the MMORPG is thus further extended, which is no surprise given the success of WoW Classic.

This is planned for WoW Shadowlands

The latest DLC for WoW was released in October 2020. These are the main features and innovations that the DLC brings:

• The namesake Shadowlands (Shadowlands) is the new region of the expansion and includes the five zones "Bastion", "Ardenwald", "Maldraxxus", "Revendreth" and "The Maw".
• Sylvanas Windrunner is primarily responsible for the story background, as she has pushed open the gate to the afterlife. The journey consequently goes to the realm of the dead.
• In contrast to the previous expansions, however, there is this time neither a new class nor a new race .
• Instead, the focus is on improving the existing: So there are extensive possibilities for character customization , especially in visual details such as skin color and facial features.
• Many skills from the past celebrate a comeback, such as the aura of paladins and the totems of shamans.
• In addition, the existing classes are to become more versatile and the level system is improved by new features
• Four pacts are introduced. Each character can join a pact, thereby gaining access to a Sankum. There are quests and campaigns as well as access to unique skills.
