Moving apps Android 11: It's that easy

On Android 11, you can move apps around as you like, allowing you to sort them as you wish. You can create multiple screens for this purpose and sort the apps into folders. All apps can still be found in the main menu and can be opened via the screen as well as via the menu and search.

How to move apps in Android 11

In Android 11, apps can be sorted on multiple screens and in folders. To do this, you just need to move the apps with your finger. If you buy a new device and have backed up your operating system with the Google Cloud, the sorting of your apps is also automatically taken over.
  1. Tap on the app you want to move and leave your finger on the screen.
  2. When the app is selected, you can move it. Usually a small menu will open or the device will vibrate slightly.
  3. Drag the app to the desired position.
  4. To move to another screen, drag the app all the way to the edge of the screen and wait for the device to automatically flip.
  5. When you find the desired position, let go of the app.
  6. To create a folder, drag the app directly to another and then let go. The folder will be created automatically.
