Setting up the Fritz WLAN repeater using WPS
If you only have very poor WLAN reception in parts of your house or apartment, a WLAN repeater can help. This receives the WLAN signal from your router, amplifies it and thus increases the range of the signal. If you have a FritzBox, the use of the Fritz WLAN repeater offers itself for the amplification of the WLAN signal.- To set up the Fritz WLAN repeater, plug it first into a socket near your FritzBox.
- Then press the WPS button of the repeater and hold it down until the WLAN indicator begins to flash.
- Now also hold down the WLAN button on the FritzBox until its WLAN light flashes.
- The two devices then automatically establish a connection and you can then plug the router into any outlet in your house.
