"Ok Google" cannot be activated on smartphone

If you have downloaded the Google app to be able to use the company's voice assistant on your smartphone, then usually only a few steps are necessary. Afterwards, the function can be activated and operated at any time via the voice command "Ok Google". If the voice assistant cannot be activated, this can have different causes.

1. If you have a smartphone with Google Assistant, first check whether it is activated. To do this, press and hold the home screen button until the message "Hello, how can I help you?" appears. If this is not the case with you, you must first activate the Google Assistant via the Google App.
2. If the Assistant is already integrated on your smartphone, you can activate the voice commands via "Settings" > "Assistant" > "Google Assistant" > " Access with Voice Match".
3. If this is not yet on the device, download the Google App and go in the app to "Settings" > "Voice Input" > "Voice Match". Activate also here the option "Access with Voice Match" to activate the voice assistant with "Ok Google".
4. In addition, go with your smartphone to the Google Play page of the app to check whether there is an update. Install this if necessary.
