Huawei P30: Perform a hard reset - this is how it works

If you have technical problems or even before selling, a hard reset of your Huawei P30 is useful. However, resetting to factory settings deletes photos and other personal settings, so it's a good idea to make a backup beforehand.

What you should keep in mind before performing a hard reset on your Huawei P30

Since the hard reset deletes all data stored on your Huawei P30, you should back it up beforehand. If you continue to use the Huawei, you can simply upload a backup to the pre-installed Huawei Mobile Cloud. The cloud stores your photos, contacts, linked accounts, and more online. After the hard reset, you can easily restore the data to your Huawei P30 or even a new Huawei. If you change the smartphone manufacturer, then it is recommended to use an alternative cloud provider such as Google Drive.

Reset Huawei in the menu: Instructions

To perform a hard reset via the menu, proceed as follows on the Huawei P30:

1. Access the Settings app.
2. Navigate to the "System" menu.
3. Tap "Reset".

Hard Reset per Tastenkombination

Lässt sich ein Smartphone nicht mehr einschalten, gibt es auch eine Tastenkombination für den Hard Reset:

1. Schalten Sie Ihr Huawei P30 aus.
2. Nun halten Sie fürs Einschalten den Power-Button und die Lauter-Taste gleichzeitig gedrückt.
3. Sobald Sie das Huawei-Logo sehen, lassen Sie den Power-Button los, aber drücken weiterhin die Lauter-Taste.
4. Tippen Sie im Menü, das sich nun öffnet, auf „Wipe data/factory reset“.
