How to set Bluetooth? How to proceed

Many devices nowadays support the Bluetooth transmission standard - usually in the low energy variant. However, if you want to connect two devices, it is first necessary to make some settings. Both devices must be in the so-called pairing mode and visible.

How to set Bluetooth on device

If you want to connect two devices via Bluetooth, then it is necessary to set the corresponding function first. For this, you need to enable Bluetooth on both devices and set the visibility. Only then can the devices find each other and be paired.

1. If you want to pair a smartphone with a device, you will find the corresponding option in the settings. Regardless of the operating system used, you will find the menu item "Bluetooth". Here you can subsequently activate the standard. With newer models, this also makes your smartphone automatically visible to other devices. However, it may also be necessary to activate the visibility. This is then done under the same menu item.
2. The standard must also be activated for the second device. If it is a speaker or similar, you can find in the user manual how to activate the function. Usually, the devices have a special button.
3. Once both devices are visible, you will see, for example, on your smartphone in the "Bluetooth" menu a list of all visible devices within range. Select the second device here and click "Pair Devices".
