Create screenshot with specific section of image

Screenshots are a capture of the entire screen. However, there are ways to actually capture only a certain area of the screen. In most cases, this not only results in a better-resolution image, but also allows you to better focus on the crucial point.

The snipping tool

In Windows, there is a pre-installed tool especially for this case, which helps you to precisely capture the desired area.
  1. Press the [Windows] key and type "Snipping" in the search box.
  2. Once you see the tool, select it and launch the program.
  3. Alternatively, you can find it under "Start" > "Accessories" > "Snipping Tool".
  4. Once the window opens, click "New" in the upper right corner and choose an option.
  5. If you want to capture only a certain area of the screen, select "Rectangular Snipping" on.
  6. Now you can drag a frame around the area you want to be seen on the capture.
  7. Once you release the frame with the mouse button, the screenshot will be made from the selected area.

Den Screenshot abspeichern

  1. Innerhalb des Fensters erscheint nun eine Vorschau Ihres Screenshots.
