How to enable Flash Player

The Flash Player from Adobe Acrobat is required to display or play multimedia content such as videos or animations. However, for this to work, you need to enable the Flash Player beforehand. How you activate the Flash Player depends on the browser you are using.
  1. If you are using Google Chrome, the Flash Player is already integrated, but must be activated manually. To activate it, please enter the command "chrome://settings/content/flash" in the address bar, confirm with "Enter" and click on "Ask first" in the Flash settings.
  2. In the Microsoft Edge browser, the Flash Player is also already installed and can be activated directly via the menu. To do this, navigate to "Settings" > "Show advanced settings" and set the slider next to "Use Adobe Flash Player" to "On".

Install the Flash Player before activation

If you use Firefox or Internet Explorer as your browser on your computer, it is additionally necessary to download the Flash Player in addition to the activation. Once you have done this, you can then activate it by clicking on the "gear icon" in Internet Explorer, going to "Manage Add-ons" > "Shockwave Flash Object" and clicking on "Activate". In Firefox, the activation is possible analogously by navigating in the menu to "Add-ons" > Plugins" > "Shockwave Flash" and clicking on the option "Ask if to activate".
