Keyboard makes sounds instead of characters - this may be the problem
One of the most important operating units for the PC is the keyboard. It is annoying when the keyboard does not work as usual and produces sounds instead of characters. Windows offers a software keyboard, but it is not efficient to click all the letters with the mouse.
Why does the keyboard make sounds instead of characters?
There may be several reasons why your keyboard makes sounds instead of text. In most cases, it is due to the keystroke delay.- The keystroke delay is activated and deactivated by long pressing the Shift key.
- So, press the Shift key for at least eight seconds until you see a notification confirming that the keystroke delay has been deactivated.
- The driver can also be the problem. Open Device Manager by typing Device Manager in the search bar at the bottom.
- Open the Keyboard tab and right-click on your keyboard.
- Select the "Update Driver" option and then "Automatically check for current driver software". If you know the manufacturer of your keyboard, you can also search for the appropriate driver on their website and download and update it manually.
- It can also be helpful to go into the Accessibility setting and check the settings. Geben Sie dazu unten links in die Suchleiste „Eingabeeinstellungen“ ein und suchen Sie nach falschen Einstellungen.
