iPhone X: How to prepare your device

If your iPhone X is damaged, you can send the device to Apple for repair. However, before you do so, it is necessary that you prepare the iPhone X for repair. To do this, please perform the following steps:

1. If you have connected your iPhone X to other Apple devices, such as the Apple Watch, please unpair them.
2. In addition, you should use iTunes to create a backup of all data and settings on the device, and then reset it by clicking "Reset" under "Settings" > "General".
3. Use iMessage, disable the function under "Settings" > "Messages" and make sure that the activation lock on the iPhone X is turned off.
4. Finally, also remove the SIM card from the device and remove the protective film and cover.

How to send in your iPhone X for repair
