Slack vs. Teams - what are the differences?
The choice of tools for calls, chats and data transfer is growing. Both Microsoft Teams and Slack have enjoyed rapidly growing numbers of users since 2020. Both applications work on a similar principle, yet there are also significant differences.
Slack vs. Teams: Here are the main differences
The two applications have one thing in common: many of the features are available for free. However, these differ as follows:- Number of users: while on Slack the number of users is unlimited, Teams only allows 300 users per organization in the free version.
- Storage: on Slack, 5 GB of storage is available to each user. Teams offers 2 GB per user and 10 GB of shared storage per team.
- Functionality: video or audio calls between individuals and groups work on both Teams and Slack. However, screen transfer to share a presentation is only enabled on Teams.
- Integration of other apps: While Teams has an unlimited number of additional apps, Slack sets the limit at 10 apps.
