Switch on printer automatically on print job

Modern printers have various options that can be used to send files to the device. If the printer does not have a job at the moment, it usually puts itself into deep sleep mode. In this mode, the display is turned off to save as much power as possible. No print jobs are normally accepted in this mode.

How to wake up the printer automatically on a print job

There is an option to have the printer wake up automatically on a print job.

1. Open the settings by typing "Settings" in the bottom left of the Windows search bar and tapping the corresponding app.
2. Click "Devices" in the settings and then "Printers and scanners" in the bar on the left.
3. Mark your printer. Then click on "Manage" and further on "Printer Settings".
4. In the "Maintenance" tab, you will find the option "Autom. On / Off". If you do not have the "Maintenance" tab, then your printer has already preset the setting.
5. A new window should open where you can select from a drop-down menu "Auto Power On: Aktiviert“ wählen können.
6. Mit einem Klick auf „Ok“ bestätigen Sie die Einstellungen, bis sich alle Fenster geschlossen haben.
