Raft: Navigation with receiver and antenna - how it works

At a certain point, you no longer steer towards chance in Raft. Receiver and antenna make it possible. Read everything you need to know about building the parts and using them.

On radio station: receiver and antenna let you follow signals.

Navigation devices are indispensable in real navigation. Raft follows this example.

Raft: Receiver and three antennas needed for navigation

To navigate in Raft, proceed as follows:
  • Build the receiver with eight planks, six plastics, two circuit boards and a hinge.
  • Of the antennas, you need three pieces. For each antenna you need four scraps, a circuit board and a bolt.
  • The antennas must have a few meters distance from each other as well as from the receiver.
  • In addition, all devices must be at the same height.
  • For the system to work, a battery is necessary. This empties over time and can not (yet) be recharged.
  • Tip: Always turn off the receiver when you are not just standing in front of it, because the battery then lasts much longer.
  • With the four numbers on the receiver, you can set codes. You will receive these through hints.
  • Blue dots thereby mark your currently set destination. All other locations are displayed as green dots.
Navigation becomes increasingly important in the course of the game, on the one hand because of the story, on the other hand because of the large islands that you need to visit for many important animals and resources. That's why we advise to build receiver and antenna as soon as it's possible.
