Nowadays there are numerous smartphone models from different manufacturers. Samsung also divides its models into upper, middle and lower class phones. The Samsung Galaxy A series is the mid-range of Samsung's smartphones. Here, the A marking has its own meaning.

What the A stands for at Samsung

Samsung offers different classes of smartphones. Depending on the technical features, a device therefore belongs to the upper, lower or middle class. To be able to distinguish between the different smartphones, they are given different designations. This includes, for example, the A designation.

1. The Samsung Galaxy A series from Samsung belongs to the smartphones of the middle class.
2. Smartphones of the A series have a good price-performance ratio, since these are offered for an affordable price despite technically good equipment.
3. The A in the designation stands for "Alpha". Whereby the performance of the smartphones is still below that of the S series. Nevertheless, it also offers a robust battery and a very good camera in addition to the performance.
4. The abbreviation S of the Galaxy series, on the other hand, stands for Super Smart. Further, there are the series E, Y, M and J. The individual letters stand for "Elevate", "Young", "Magical" and "Joy".
5. In addition, there is the Samsung Galaxy C series. Diese ist jedoch in Deutschland nicht erschienen und ist vor allem für den chinesischen Markt vorgesehen. Das C steht dabei für „China“.
