The success and good reviews obtained by the iPhone SE 2020 seem to have convinced Apple to slightly revise its pricing policy, especially in anticipation of the release of the iPhone 12, expected as usual for the month of September. In recent days have appeared online rather interesting rumors about the launch prices of the four models of the iPhone 12, which should be slightly lower for non-"Pro" versions.
In fact, one of the main innovations of the new top-of-the-line Apple smartphone is precisely the number of models that will be launched: not three, but four. Two "low-cost" version that will be part of the iPhone 12 family ("normal" and Max) and two premium smartphones that will have the name of iPhone 12 Pro ("normal" and Max). Other rumors also ensure the presence of four cameras on the two Pro models: as already done for the iPad Pro, the next iPhone 12 will have a built-in LiDAR sensor that will allow you to take even better advantage of augmented reality.

It will not be a revolutionary moment, but a definite change of pace. After three versions very similar to each other in terms of design (iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone 11), Apple seems to have decided to update the design of its top smartphone. The iPhone 12 is expected to have a much narrower notch that will allow the screen to gain even more space and a slightly more beveled form factor that will be very reminiscent of the iPhone 5.
The design, however, will not be the only novelty of the iPhone 12. As already explained, for the first time Apple seems to be decided to launch as many as four versions of its top of the line smartphone: two iPhone 12 models and two iPhone 12 Pro.
Changes also for the photographic compartment. In the back will remain the iconic square-shaped bumper that this time will host well four photo sensors, at least in the Pro version (two will be the cameras present on the iPhone 11). In addition to the main sensor, wide-angle and telephoto, in fact, it will also be the turn of the LiDAR sensor, already present on the iPad Pro, and that will serve to improve the interaction with augmented reality through special apps.
Finally, confirmed the arrival of 5G on the iPhone that will be supported by all four models.
The price of the iPhone 12
Now let's move on to the most interesting aspect of the upcoming iPhone 12. According to the usual well-informed, Apple would have decided to lower the prices of the iPhone 12 and keep those of the Pro version the same as last year.
The iPhone 12 with 5.4-inch screen should cost $649, while the Max version with 6.1-inch display should start at $749. The iPhone 12 Pro with a 6.1-inch screen will be priced at $999, while the Max version, on the other hand, is expected to start at $1099.

Apple seems to be pretty confident that it will be able to unveil the iPhone 12 in September, despite delays from various suppliers due to Covid-19. The market launch, on the other hand, could be pushed back a few weeks, perhaps to mid-October.
