Motorola expands the range of low cost smartphones with the Moto e6i: it's a basic device, with Android Go Edition
The new smartphone from Motorola has arrived like a bolt from the blue. It's called Moto e6i and has a particularly interesting feature: it's super cheap. It expands, therefore, the family Moto e6 with a specimen that could collect many preferences in the public segment that prefers absolute performance to the figures contained.
The latest specimen in order of time Motorola is an interesting alternative with regard to the slice of the market from lower prices. The smartphone fits into a series already known to the public that, with this new model, comes to four variations on the theme. In fact, Moto e6i is positioned next to the basic version Moto e6, the advanced e6 Plus and Moto e6s, the last of the family in chronological order. These are in all four cases entry level phones, designed for a specific market segment with low prices and good capabilities, capable of giving a pleasant user experience.
Moto e6i, technical characteristics
The features that outline the profile of Motorola's budget smartphone have all been revealed with the release on the market. Inside is an octa-core processor Unisoc SC9863A while all operations are managed by the Android 10 Go EditionĀ (the "light" version of Android dedicated to less performing smartphones). This model can count on a 2GB RAM, while as far as storage space is concerned, the availability is 32GB (eMMC 5.1), expandable via microSD card. To give power, a 3000mAh battery.
As for the display, however, Moto e6i mounts a 6.1-inch HD + Max Vision screen, in which is embedded the notch for the 5-megapixel front camera from the teardrop shape. On the back, however, is a dual-sensor camera module, with a 13MP primary and f/2.2 aperture in addition to a 2MP secondary and f/2.4 aperture for depth. Not far away, but still on the same side of the smartphone, is located the fingerprint reader.
In the compact format of this 4G dual SIM smartphone, we speak of 155.6x73x8.5mm in size for 160g in weight, we also find a 3.5mm, FM Radio, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, GPS Glonass and a micro USB port.
Moto e6i, design and price
Moto e6i is available in two colors, Titanium Grey and Pink, and at least for the moment is available exclusively for the Brazilian market at about 160 euros. Currently there is no news about the launch outside the borders of the nation but, given the presence of the other specimens, it is not excluded that this could happen again with the last cell phone of the family.
