The Nokia 8 Pro will hit the market in August and will have the Snapdragon 845, 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage. It will be part of the Android One family
Nokia 8 is the series that represented for the Finnish company the return to the "big" market. It is the first top of the range that Nokia and HMD Global launched in 2017 and despite some problems related to the lack of experience, the device was characterized by an excellent value for money.
At Mobile World Congress 2018, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was launched, a new "premium" version of the device, with a 5.5-inch edge-to-edge screen and 2K resolution. A device that will debut on the market in April and that represents Nokia's first top of the line for 2018. The Finnish company, however, seems intent in the second half of the year to launch the Nokia 8 Pro, a new smartphone that will enrich the lineup of phones produced by HMD Global. It will be an update of the Nokia 8 Sirocco of which it will take some technical features and design.
Technical data sheet Nokia 8 Pro
The Nokia 8 Pro will be the first device of the Finnish company to mount the Snapdragon 845, the new chipset from Qualcomm dedicated to top of the range devices. The smartphone will be Nokia's answer to all the devices coming out during the summer that will mount the same processor. The smartphone will be made in two different versions: in the base model there will be 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while in the premium version 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The screen will be 6.01 inches with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and FullHD+ resolution (the same screen also present on the Nokia 7 Plus). The photographic compartment is the one on which there are the most doubts. According to some analysts will mount the same rear photo sensors of the Nokia 8 Sirocco: 12 Megapixel main lens and secondary 13 Megapixel. But Nokia could surprise everyone by mounting a dual rear 16 Megapixel sensor made by Carl Zeiss. The front camera will be 13 Megapixel.
In the back, in addition to the photo sensors, there will also be a fingerprint sensor. The body will be made of glass and will support wireless charging. The Finnish smartphone will have a 4000mAh super-battery. The Nokia 8 Pro should arrive with Android Oreo 8.1 and will be part of the Android One family: no customization in the user interface and no apps installed. And the guarantee that software updates will arrive earlier than the smartphones of other companies.
When will the Nokia 8 Pro
The smartphone should be presented in August and make its debut on the market in the following months. On the price there is no information available, but from some rumors it leaks that Nokia will try to impress by focusing on a great value for money.
