OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be very different and not only for the design: here are the features of the two smartphones
Two weeks away from the presentation of the new family of OnePlus smartphones and by now we know everything about their features. For the first time in its history, the Chinese company has decided to present two different versions of the device: OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Besides the name, there are many differences between the two devices. The OnePlus 7 is an updated version of the OnePlus 6T, from which it takes the design. The OnePlus 7 Pro, on the other hand, is an innovative smartphone in many ways: design, screen and photo compartment.
An image with the characteristics of the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro has been published on the web that allows you to make a comparison between the two devices. The OnePlus 7 Pro, in addition to having more powerful hardware components (10GB of RAM), also has an extra camera and a larger screen. But that's not all. The display of the OnePlus 7 Pro will have slightly curved edges and a brightness equal to that of the best smartphones on the market.
OnePlus 7 vs OnePlus 7 Pro: comparison
Let's start with the features in common between the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. Both of them mount the Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is present on all top-of-the-line smartphones released in these early months of 2019. In addition, both the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will mount a 48-megapixel lens in the back. The rest of the spec sheet of the two smartphones will be very different.
Let's start with the hardware components. The OnePlus 7 will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable internal storage. The OnePlus 7 Pro, on the other hand, will start with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Let's move on to the display. The OnePlus 7 will mount a 6.2-inch screen with FullHD+ resolution, and 60hz refresh rate. The premium model will have a larger panel (6.64") with QuadHD+ resolution and 90hz refresh rate.
Big differences on the design and the camera compartment as well. The base model has a very similar design to the OnePlus 6T. There will be the teardrop-shaped notch with the front-facing camera inside. The OnePlus 7 Pro, on the other hand, doesn't have any kind of hole or notch on the screen and the front-facing camera is hidden inside the shell and only pops up when you activate the Camera app. The OnePlus 7 mounts a dual rear camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor and secondary zoom sensor. The Pro version has three cameras: 48 Megapixel main, secondary with 3x optical zoom and wide-angle sensor.
The battery will be 4150mAh on the OnePlus 7 and 4000mAh on the OnePlus 7 Pro. Both have the fingerprint sensor under the screen.
OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro: price
The price of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be slightly higher than the previous models. The OnePlus 7 is expected to be launched on the market at a price of around 600 euros, while the Pro version will have to shell out around 700 euros.
