Oppo is ready for the launch of the new Oppo Reno 5: the new low-to-mid budget smartphone that supports 5G connectivity
For Oppo Reno 5 it is finally time for official presentations. After the anticipations, spread on the net several times in recent months, the new smartphone of the Chinese manufacturer has finally made its debut, dispelling the last doubts about the technical characteristics that outline its functionality.
With Reno 5 Oppo adds another small piece to the devices launched in the last period, offering a versatile and complete model at a fairly low price. The Chinese company has chosen for the occasion a smartphone with particularly appreciable features and price of medium-low range, as opposed to the same version equipped with 5G connectivity and more performing from the core point of view. In the second case, in fact, the selling price is raised, up to almost double, in order to take full advantage of the characteristics of the ultrafast network that in recent months is increasingly gaining ground among the manufacturers of mobile devices.
Oppo Reno 5, technical characteristics
Gifted with 4G connectivity, with dual sim support, the new smartphone Oppo can count on a 4310 mAh battery capable of supporting fast charging 50W, bringing to 100% a discharged battery in 48 minutes. In the equipment, moreover, also appears a 65W SuperVOOC charging adapter.
Stepping to the brain of Reno 5, the new device can count on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa core processor. Completing the equipment is 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, expandable via microSD memory card that can be inserted into the dedicated slot. The pre-installed operating system is Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1.
Going to the dimensions, the smartphone reaches those of 15.91×7.33×0.77 cm, for a total weight of 171 grams. The screen, a Full HD+ AMOLED display, reaches 6.4 inches, with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The top, shockproof layer is made of Gorilla Glass 3.
To those already mentioned, we add other interesting features such as a slot for the cable USB Type-C for charging and data transfer, the ability to use wired headphones through the socket for 3.5 mm mini-jack cable, a fingerprint reader integrated into the display and Bluetooth 5 connectivity.1.
Oppo Reno5, the cameras
Located in the screen of the Oppo smartphone through a punch-hole structure, the front-facing camera features a 44 MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture. As for the rear one, on the other hand, the device features a quad-cam with a 64 MP main sensor and f/1.7 aperture, an ultra-wide f/2.2 lens and two 2MP lenses, respectively for macro and single sensor photography, with f/2.4 aperture.
Oppo Reno5, colors and price
Currently available in two different colors, gray and black, the new Oppo Reno 5 is currently on sale at a price of just over 300 euros. On pre-sale in Vietnam, it could soon reach other markets although more precise news about it has not yet been provided.
