A sortie on Geekbench confirms in a sense some of the expected specifications on Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, which seems to be getting closer and closer to the official
In the world of technology there is an unwritten rule: when rumors about a particular product flow with greater frequency, then the presentation is always closer. This is happening with Samsung Galaxy S21 FE of which a few days ago we talked about the price, which is expected to be lower than its predecessor, and which today we return to talk about the technical specifications.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition is a product quite expected because (or because of) the success of its predecessor Galaxy S20 FE, which surprised the approval received among technology enthusiasts and not. Consequently, the formula will remain unchanged: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be a smartphone with some targeted waivers compared to Galaxy S21 with the aim of centering the best compromise between technical features (high level) and price. For example, Qualcomm's powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 888, will remain there in its place, but some construction "finesse" will be set aside to make room for more "concrete" solutions, such as the rear camera group area that, according to rumors, will be made of plastic.
Galaxy S21 FE: features on Geekbench
Now came the report of a "tour" that Samsung Galaxy S21 FE would have done on the benchmark platform Geekbench, where smartphones are identified with the product code that in the case of the product of Samsung is SM-G990B.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE then, to take for good what the platform would have detected, will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 octa core SoC with 2.84 GHz maximum frequency, just like the Galaxy S21 sold in some regions of the world, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and a user interface based on Android 11, which we know is the Samsung OneUI.
It seems unlikely that Samsung will make only one memory configuration available for the Galaxy S21 FE, so the one that would run on Geekbench with 8 GB of RAM might not be the only one available for purchase. According to rumors there should also be a variant with 6 GB of RAM while on the storage front Samsung should propose two alternatives, 128 or 256 GB.
Galaxy S21 FE: all other specifications
And if the Geekbench revelations are limited to confirm few data, are the rumors arrived in recent weeks to give us an overview of the possible technical framework of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
Samsung is expected to have it equipped with a large 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, a 4,500 mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging, three cameras and a design very similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S21, except for some areas that would use less valuable materials to keep costs down.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, in short, will remain a top of the line, just a little less refined. The Galaxy S21 FE will not be a top-of-the-line device, but it could even be priced lower than the already affordable Galaxy S20 FE: according to information collected by the Korean Herald, it would be priced between $630 and $720 excluding taxes, which is about $100 lower than the current Fan Edition.
