Samsung Galaxy S21 FE beats even the Ultra: top feature

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will have far faster charging than the top of the range from which it is derived: confirmation from a reliable source like the FCC

Since Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was launched in 2020, the South Korean manufacturer's Fan Edition line has become one of the main ones in the entire range. So Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is one of the most awaited by fans, who are waiting to know how the product derived from this year's Galaxy S21 will strike the ideal balance between performance and price.

It was rumored that Samsung would anticipate the timing of the presentation of Galaxy S21 FE compared to those followed by its predecessor by launching it in August, but the chip crisis that resulted from the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the plans of many companies, not only technology and not only small. Samsung has thus had to give up its intention to make Galaxy S21 FE official in August and postpone it to the last quarter of the year, about a year after the presentation of its predecessor. Fortunately, judging by the rumors, no further problems should arise: Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has passed by the American body FCC, a step that usually precedes the launch by just a few months.

The charging of Galaxy S21 FE beats that of Galaxy S21 Ultra

The passage from the FCC has revealed some aspects of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, including a high-level one that, however, remained outside the equipment of the top of the range, including Galaxy S21 Ultra.

From the documents made public by the American body we learn that Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will have a fast charging technology capable of reaching 45 watts peak, power that was inaugurated on Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ in 2019 and then reproposed on the Galaxy S20 of 2020.

However for some reason the company has given up proposing it even on the Galaxy S21, which not even in the Ultra variant go beyond 25 watts. Not that it's too little, and not that a 45-watt wired fast charger can be considered extremely fast, but the fact that the budget variant of the current top of the line has a fast charger with almost twice the power is curious to say the least.

From the FCC report on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE it appears that the device will be able to handle both 45-watt wired fast charging (21 volts and 2.1 amps) and the 25-watt fast charging of the Galaxy S21 (11 volts and 2.25 amps). In any case, the fast charger won't be part of the Galaxy S21 FE's equipment either, so it will have to be purchased separately.

The remaining features made public by the U.S. body talk about a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE capable of handling 5G mmWave sub-6, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi dual-band ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and WPT (Wireless Power Transfer). Yes to support for both fast and reverse wireless charging on the Fan Edition as well.

What Samsung Galaxy S21 FE should look like

Investigations over the past few weeks have sketched a Samsung Galaxy S21 with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 120 Hz AMOLED Infinity-O display, a 32-megapixel selfie camera and three cameras on the back with optical image stabilization and 4K recording at 60 fps.

The Snapdragon 888 chip, 6 or 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal storage, IP68 certification, stereo speakers and a 4,500 mAh battery would complete the picture.
