Sarà basato sul romanzo “Sole di mezzanotte” il nuovo film Sky Original: un prodotto internazionale con la collaborazione di Cattleya e Groenlandia.
Sky ha annunciato un nuovo film Sky Original: The hanging sun. Si tratta di un progetto internazionale con la collaborazione di Cattleya e Groenlandia che vedrà come protagonista principale Alessandro Borghi indimenticabile in Sulla mia pelle. Il regista è Francesco Carrozzini, un fotografo di fama internazionale, già nominato agli Emmy.
The hanging sun è tratto dal romanzo "Sole di mezzanotte" di Jo Nesbø e vedrà nel cast, oltre ad Alessandro Borghi, Jessica Brown Findlay, che già conosciamo per titoli come Brave New World o Hamlet, e la partecipazione di Sam Spruell, attore britannico che ha interpretato Outlaw King – Il re fuorilegge e la pellicola Biancaneve e il cacciatore. The hanging sun è stato scritto da Stefano Bises, che si era già occupato di Gomorra e The New Pope, e vede alla fotografia Nicolaj Bruel, lo stesso di Dogman e Pinocchio. Le riprese di questa produzione italo britannica inizieranno a settembre in Norvegia tra Oslo e Alesund.

Tratto dal libro, "Sole di mezzanotte", The hanging sun è un thriller noir. Le atmosfere sono quelle tipiche dell’estate norvegese, dove il sole non tramonta mai. Il qui e ora non esiste, il presente e il passato si fondono e si sovrappongono, e la vita si intreccia alla morte. Alessandro Borghi interpreta John, un uomo in fuga. Il riparo per lui sarà una fitta foresta nell’estremo Nord dove domina la religione e le persone in questo luogo, avvolto nel mistero, sembrano appartenere a un’altra epoca. Tra il destino e John c’è Lea, interpretata da Jessica Brown Findlay, e il suo curioso e sincero figlio Caleb. John will find himself facing his tragic past that continues to haunt him. Everything will be even more confusing and impenetrable as the midnight sun plays out between reality and imagination.
Suspense seems to be a central element of this new Sky Original production.
