During E3 2017, Sony presented PlayLink, the new platform that will allow to play on the smartphone the video games developed for PS4
The conference organized by Sony at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 was not only used to present the new video games that we will see in the coming on the PS4 and PlayStation 4 Pro, but also to launch the new PlayLink platform dedicated to video games for smartphones and tablets.
For several months now, there has been talk of a new project by the Japanese company to bring some of the games released for the console also on mobile. But that's not really the case. The presentation of PlayLink has allowed us to understand how the new Sony project will work. The Japanese company will develop new video games that will be available for both PS4 and Android and iOS, and players will be able to collaborate using different devices. In addition, some content will be available only for the smartphone, so as to entice users to download the mobile version of the game as well.
Video games available for PlayLink
For the moment Sony has announced the development of six video games: the first will be That's You, a quiz game that supports up to six players simultaneously and will be available for free on the Google Play Store and the App Store from July 4. Great expectations for Hidden Agenda that will see the player engaged in the search for a serial killer. The game will be available for both consoles and smartphones with the possibility for players to collaborate using different devices. The other videogames expected in the next months are Knowledge is Power, a trivia game, Frantics and SingStar Celebration.
After the success obtained by Nintendo with Pokemon Go, also Sony tries the road of mobile videogames. To understand if it will be a success we have to wait for the next months.
