The co-founder of the chatbot messaging startup has developed an artificial intelligence to chat with her now deceased friend
Talking to the dead will no longer be just the business of wizards, sorcerers or self-styled fortune tellers. Now we, too, with our smartphones or PCs will be able to talk to a departed loved one. Eugenia Kuyda has succeeded. She chatted with her friend Roman Mazurenko, who died a few months ago.
The project. To succeed Eugenia, who is co-founder of the startup Luka operating in the field of messaging with chatbot, had to collect all old messages of her friend. She excluded those with a character a bit too personal and inserted them into a neural network with the help of artificial intelligence experts. The girl was long conflicted about whether to do it or not. "Will it really be a representation of him?" Was the question that stuck with her.
