With the arrival of May, one of the most followed and loved sporting events in Italy starts: the Giro d'Italia. Giro d'Italia 2019: the favorites
There's no Froome, the last Giro d'Italia winner, nor Wiggins, winner of the 2018 Tour de France, but the list of favorites for the 2019 Giro d'Italia is full of famous cyclists. Let's start with our own Vincenzo Nibali. For the "Shark of the Strait", the Giro d'Italia is the real goal of this season and the route is suited to his characteristics, even if the time trial kilometers are many. Nibali, however, will have to deal with Dumoulin, winner of the Giro d'Italia in 2017, Simon Yates, protagonist last year, Roglic, grown so many in recent months, Mikel Landa and Miguel Angel Lopez.

Giro d'Italia 2019: timetable
The departure of the stages of Giro d'Italia 102 varies from day to day depending on the length of the route. As far as television coverage is concerned, Rai will broadcast live all 21 stages of the 2019 Giro d'Italia on the channels RaiSport + HD and Rai 2.
On the Eurosport channels, the live broadcast of the Giro d'Italia will start around 13:00, but for the most important mountain stages there will be full coverage of the event.

The Rai is the home of the Giro d'Italia. The State TV will organize the filming and transmission of the event ensuring the utmost professionalism as it happens every year. For the Pink Race Rai has also organized a series of specials that will be aired every day on the two channels dedicated to the event. The morning starts with the "Villaggio di Partenza" (Departure Village), thirty minutes dedicated to the day's stage and to the progress of the race, followed by the "Anteprima Giro" at 12:30 (RaiSport or Rai 2) with the first images of the stage and the interventions of the opinion leaders, while at 14:30 there is "Diretta Giro" (Rai 2) with the first images of the stage and the interventions of the opinion leaders.
