Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro: the secret weapon will be the zoom

First rumors about the Pro version of the new Chinese top of the range: more zoom, more RAM and the well-established SD 888 platform.

An ultra-powerful zoom, from 120x, will be the flagship feature of Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, the new smartphone of the Chinese manufacturer that should end up on the market in the coming months. This is one of the most interesting rumors about the device since, only up to a month ago, the news on the realization of this variant were few or none.

The news of this feature that, of course, does not go unnoticed has come on the net thanks to Digital Chat Station, a popular leaker who already in the past has launched information, later revealed congruent with reality, on the Chinese company. The smartphone, therefore, would be the evolved version of the phone that debuted with a dedicated event only last December 28 in China, with respectable features. In fact, Xiaomi Mi 11 is not only the first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 888 processor, but can also count on an excellent display and an equally good (at least on paper) group of photo sensors.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, the camera specifications

In addition to the already announced 120x zoom, the Mi 11 Pro smartphone should be able to count on a quad rear camera, in a configuration among other things different from what we've already seen on Mi 11 at least according to the renders appeared on the network. In fact, in this case there is talk of a 2×2 arrangement present in the upper left corner, instead of the three vertically aligned sensors of the original model.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, technical specifications

From the point of view of technical features, Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will largely trace the base model Mi 11. This happens, for example, with the screen with curved edges of 6.81 inches, 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Added to this is the pixel density, at 515 PPI, and a maximum brightness capable of reaching 1500 nits. In addition, it does not lack support for MEMC technology and conversion from SDR to HDR.

The same goes for the processor: being one of the flagship proposals of Xiaomi, the new smartphone of the Chinese company could mount just the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, made with 5 nm manufacturing process. To make a difference, as you can imagine, will be the cuts of memory available: currently, however, there are no certain news about it, neither from the point of view of RAM or storage space, but it is reasonable to think that there will be a 16 GB version, the maximum size supported by Snapdragon 888.

Everything should be managed through Android 11, the latest version of the operating system, with the proprietary MIUI 12.5 interface.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, timing and release date

At present, an official date for the launch of Mi 11 Pro has not yet been confirmed by Xiaomi, when the official list of technical specifications should be made known. In all likelihood, however, the official debut could end up on the calendar in the period following the Chinese New Year, which falls on February 12, 2021.
