Sevenhugs aims to replace all the remotes and control devices we use in the home. It's coming out in June 2017 and is priced at $299
If you've recently had any trouble with your remote control, you might want to take a look at the world of the Internet of Things. Sevenhugs has created a smart remote control capable, according to the company, of synchronizing with 25 thousand different devices.
Forget the classic remote control then. On the device, in fact, you will not find any physical buttons, but only a touch display. Then, unlike all other universal controllers, there will be no need to enter any code: just point the smart device at the smart object that we want to manage and automatically on the small oval-shaped screen will appear a set of commands. The smart remote can be used to control a multitude of smart devices: televisions, lights, wireless speakers, smart home systems, thermostats, webcams, air conditioners and more. And if you point it at a window, it will even tell us the weather forecast.

Technical Features
Let's now take a look at the technical features. In addition to the 3.4-inch high-resolution touch display, the remote control has 3 wall sensors that map the room and identify its location. The universal remote control also has a gyroscope, an accelerometer and a digital compass. Moreover, the IoT object does not have any compatibility issues: it can take advantage of Wi-Fi, infrared port or Bluetooth. As for the processor, the smart remote integrates an ARM CORTEX M4 single-core 200 Mz. To install the device, simply use the app that Sevenhugs makes available to Android and Apple users.

Price and release date
At the moment, the smart device can be pre-ordered on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform at a price of $99. The remote control is expected to go on sale in June 2017 at a final cost of $299.
