It's a 3D printer that can make two objects at once, compatible with multiple filaments and materials, now launching on Kickstarter
A 3D printer at school to create games directly from children's ideas, or a 3D printer to create concepts in an office, or even a 3D printer inside a company to create objects for various hobbies. The new Stacker S2, now launching on Kickstarter, is all that and more.
The Stacker S2 is a fairly small 3D printer, about as tall as a desk and as wide as a nightstand, ideal for offices or training and educational activities. Thanks to its wheels, it is easily transportable and can be adapted for multiple jobs. In addition, having two print heads can perform two jobs, identical or with small variations, at the same time, reducing production time. Thanks to a system of nozzles and protective shields, the processing of one of the two copies will not affect the other. We can thus realize, without smudging, two identical products but in different colors (browse the photo gallery to see how the printer works).
Ease of use and compatibility
Among the strengths of the Stacker S2 campaign on Kickstarter there are definitely two factors. The first is its simplicity. In fact, it is easy to use it, as well as transport it and adapt to multiple tasks. The second is its high compatibility with different types of filaments with which it builds objects. It can do so with most of the filaments on the market and not only with the most expensive ones. This is very relevant for an industrial 3D printer. Among the compatible filaments, there are also semi-flexible ones, to make foldable objects, such as nGen Flex by colorFabb. These are made with a copolyester base and have several advantages over the classic ones used in 3D printing. For example, they are more durable and emit a less intense odor. Furthermore, Stacker S2 can also produce metal objects thanks to the use of PLA, which allows you to generate molds coated with a ceramic mixture into which the molten metal will be poured to create the final object. Moreover, the stainless steel nozzles are intentionally designed to maximize the printing results with special composite filaments from materials such as brass, copper, steel, carbon fiber and bronze. But that's not all, because this printer can also work with wood and bamboo.
Designed for Business
The campaign describes it as the ideal 3D printer for many types of businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones.
Not only because of its pliability and quality prints, but also because it's low-maintenance, lightweight and time-saving. In spite of this, however, it is made with only quality components and has a two-year warranty. With the purchase of the printer you will also be able to download the Simplify3D software for free, with which you can create your own projects. Shipments will begin in June, the price varies from models ranging from the basic version that costs just under 6,000 euros to the premium version that comes close to 7,500 euros.
