After Mobile World Congress 2017, Nokia is preparing to launch more new smartphones: the Nokia 9 could be the top of the range that everyone is waiting for
The one of Nokia is a return that has made millions of users happy, but that has made the experts of the sector turn their noses up a bit: at the event organized at Mobile World Congress 2017, everyone expected the presentation of a top of the range that could compete with the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6, but unfortunately there was not.
In these early stages, the Finnish company preferred to focus on a different price range: the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are low-cost smartphones that will be able to achieve excellent results from the point of view of sales both in Italy and in the Rest of the World. Same for the Nokia 6, mid-range device very interesting and that could give great satisfaction to the company of Espoo. As for the top of the range will have to wait a little 'yet, but it is not said that Nokia is not working on it: online renderings have appeared on the Nokia 9, the possible top of the range of the company of Espoo (scroll through the photo gallery above to find out how it will be made Nokia 9).
Features Nokia 9
The Finnish company has taken a little 'other time to be able to make a smartphone really up to scratch. At the moment, the top of the range sector is really very complicated: Qualcomm is late in the production of its most advanced chipset, the Snapdragon 835, and all companies are undecided on which SoC to mount on their devices. For example, LG has been forced to turn to the Snapdragon 821, in order to launch its top of the range by mid-March. That's why Nokia, at the moment, has decided to delay the release of the Nokia 9 for a few more months. But thanks to some indiscretions it is possible to guess the technical characteristics of the Nokia top of the range. The smartphone should mount an SoC Snapdragon 835 supported by 6GB of RAM and at least 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. The screen will be 5.5 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. But the real strength of the device should be the rear camera: we do not know the type of sensor, but it promises to be revolutionary. It will be based on Android 7.1 and will have a 3650 mAh battery.
Price and release date
It's still too early to talk about price, but given the hardware compartment is difficult to predict a cost below 600-700 euros. For the release date it will be necessary to wait at least until the end of 2017. But in the coming months we will certainly know more.
