The e-commerce site launches two new services: Amazon Family designed for young couples and Birth List, to share baby products with friends
After launching Amazon Dash Buttons and opening the first checkout-free supermarket in Seattle, the e-commerce site is ready to introduce Amazon Family, a new service available to all its customers that allows them to buy 15% discounted diapers.
The new service is part of the Sign Up and Save project that provides families with basic necessities (beverages, long-life foods, snacks, candy) that can be ordered directly online and shipped to their homes. With Amazon Family, new parents can have peace of mind when it comes to diapers: the service automatically ships the number of diapers their baby will need on a regular basis. All major brands are available and Amazon Prime users will benefit from a 15% discount, while for "normal" customers the discount is 5%.
How Amazon Birth List Works
In conjunction with Amazon Family, the US company has also launched the Amazon Birth List service that allows parents to create a list of products in the Babyhood category and share it with their friends and family. This way, it will be easier for people to choose the perfect gift for the new arrival. All products selected and purchased by friends will be shipped to the new parents' home.
