The Cupertino company is working to implement the Apple Pencil inside the next smartphone. Will we see it on the iPhone 9?
The Galaxy Note 8 could soon have a very fearsome opponent. We're not talking about the iPhone 8, coming out in the next few days, but the iPhone 9. In fact, according to some patents released by the U.S. Office, Apple would be working to integrate a stylus on one of the company's next smartphones.
The goal of the Cupertino company is precisely to block the overwhelming power of Samsung in the sector of phablets dedicated to the world of work. The Galaxy Note 8 has all the credentials to return the Note series to the quality standards of the past and Apple would like to counterpose it with a smartphone with similar characteristics. The iPhone 8 will have an OLED screen that will occupy most of the screen, but will not have stylus support, present, instead, on the Note 8. From the patents obtained by Apple, the support of a stylus by the iPhone could happen as early as next year.
What you will be able to do with the Apple Pencil
It was Tim Cook himself who announced a couple of months ago that the Apple Pencil would revolutionize the way we use the iPad and iPhone. And the images inside the patents go precisely in this direction. The iPhone, more than integrating a stylus, will support the Apple Pencil already developed for the iPad Pro: the user will be able to work on photo editing using iMovie and moving the frames through the stylus. The same can be done with other applications dedicated to photo editing: thanks to the Apple Pencil you will be able to add graphic effects or colored writing to images. But to be able to support the Apple Pencil, the iPhone 9 will have to mount special screens that can be made after the patents received by Apple from the U.S. Office.
