Call of Duty: Warzone is the free battle royale mode available from March 10, 2020. Here's how to play and how to download the video game
It's called Warzone, it's the battle royale mode of Call of Duty and aspires to become the anti Fortnite par excellence, strong of the name and success of CoD to date.
Call of Duty: Warzone is therefore a game in its own right and not an extension, but those who do not own the game will still have to download it doing a download whose weight ranges from 80 to 100 GB. This is a free-to-play version of CoD that can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Among other things, the free game modes will be two: the classic battle royale and "Plunder". The requirements, also in terms of subscription, to play Call of Duty: Warzone vary depending on the platform chosen to play but, basically, Warzone is a free version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Those who want to play Call of Duty: Warzone on PlayStation 4 will not need a PS Plus subscription, while those who want to do it from Xbox One will need a Gold subscription. As for the technical requirements, the 80-100 GB of disk space will drop to "only" 20 GB for those who already have the game. To play Call of Duty: Warzone on PC, you'll need to connect to Battle.net
Call of Duty: Warzone, how to play
The way Call of Duty: Warzone's battle royale mode works is very similar to Fortnite: you play in 150 simultaneously, in teams of three players, and as teams are eliminated, the map shrinks and only one will remain. The Plunder mode is different: here it's all about accumulating as much money as possible, taking out other teams and completing contracts.
These two modes are complemented by the inevitable training mode to gain experience with the game, in order to allow even those who don't have Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to enter the battle with a minimum of experience. The game is set in the city of Verdank and the map is huge, complex and also includes places already seen in Modern Warfare Ground War and Special Ops. Activision has released a "satellite" image of the map so that players will be prepared.
How to download Call of Duty: Warzone for free
The game will be available from 16:00 on March 10, 2020 for those who already have Call of Duty: Warzone. Those who don't have the game, however, must wait until 8 p.m., also on March 10. The video game will be available for free download from the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Battle.net for those with Windows PCs.
